Writing moderation with Marie

I’m mostly on the right track. I tend to make my marking a little hard so I need to tick the children off when they have shown that they have done something rather than no they have not done something consistently.


Writing Observation of Kate

Watched writing lesson to get ideas and see how lesson is being run. Used writing idea for lesson.

Writing Assessment

Collecting as many examples as I can find to make my marking and OTJs more accurate. Using a variety to make sure I get a good understanding of this level.

Collecting assessment templates from VLN. 
National Standards Progressions.
Found National Standards Writing OTJ sheets.
Got example from Gillian that was used in PHS.

Writing moderation Team and extra with Diane

Went through writing moderation with team and did some extra with Diane to make sure I was on the right track. Seem to be going well.

Discussion with Gillian about writing

Had a discussion with Gillian about what she uses for writing. I gained some more ideas from her about how she runs her writing programme and what tools she uses to provide a variety of rich writing tasks for her students. My next step is to observe Gillian teach.
